Access data / Server log files
The operator (or his internet provider) collects data on each access to the website (so-called server log files). Access data include:
Name of the requested web page, file, date and time of access, data volume transferred, notification of successful download, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider.
The operator uses the log data only for statistical analysis for the purpose of operating, security and optimization of the website. The operator, however, reserves the right to check the log data later if, based on specific indicators, there is reasonable suspicion of unlawful use.
Handling of personal data
Personal details mean information that will help to make a person identifiable, in other words, information that can be traced back to one person. This includes the name, e-mail address, or telephone number. But also details about preferences, hobbies, memberships or what websites were viewed by someone are considered as personal details.
Personal details are only gathered by the operator, used and passed on if permitted by law or the user has given his consent to the collection of data.
When contacting the operator (for example via the contact form or e-mail), the information on the user is stored for the purpose of processing the request and in the event that subsequent questions arise.
The newsletter is to inform you about us and our offers.
If you would like to receive the newsletter, we require a valid e-mail address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address or that the owner agrees to receive the newsletter. Further details will not be collected. These personal details will only be used to send the newsletter and will not be disclosed to third parties.
When you register for the newsletter, we store your IP address and the date of registration. This storage is solely for proof in the case that a third party abuses an e-mail address and logs in without the knowledge of the person entitled to receive the newsletter.
Your consent to the storage of personal details, of the e-mail address and using it to send the newsletter can be revoked at any time. The revocation can be made via a link in the newsletters themselves, in your profile area or by giving notice to the above contact addresses.
When users access the website, one or more cookies are stored on their computer. A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters that uniquely identifies your browser. Cookies help the operator to improve the convenience and quality of his services, such as by storing user preferences. Cookies on the user’s computer cause no harm and do not contain viruses.
Using the service is also possible without cookies. In their browsers, users can disable the storage of cookies, restrict them to certain sites or configure their browser so that it notifies them before a cookie is stored. They can always delete the cookies from the hard drive of their computer using the privacy features of their browser. In this case, the functionality and usability of the website may be limited.
Use of Facebook Social Plugins
This website uses social plugins (“plugins”) provided by the social network facebook.com which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plugins are identifiable by one of the Facebook logos (white “f” on a blue background or a “thumbs up” sign) or are additionally marked “Facebook Social Plugin”. The list and the appearance of Facebook Social Plugins can be viewed here: http://developers.facebook.com/plugins.
If a user visits a web page of this website which contains such a plugin, their browser makes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transferred by Facebook directly to your browser which embeds the latter into the website. The operator therefore has no influence on the amount of data that Facebook collects with the help of this plugin and therefore informs the user in accordance with what he knows:
By integrating the plugin, Facebook receives the information that a user has accessed the corresponding page of the website. If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to his Facebook account. If users interact with the plugins, for example, by leaving a comment or pressing the “Like” button, the corresponding information is transmitted from their browser directly to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, there still exists the possibility that Facebook learns his IP address and stores it. According to Facebook, in Germany only an anonymous IP address is stored.
Users can find out more about the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Facebook, and the respective rights and configuration to protect the privacy of users by referring to Facebook’s privacy policies: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect personal details about them via this website and link it to the member data already stored by Facebook, they must log off from Facebook before visiting the website.
It is also possible to block Facebook social Plugins by using add-ons for your browser, for example with the “Facebook Blocker”.
+1 button of Google+
This website uses the “+1” button of the social network Google Plus , which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”). The button is identifiable by the “+1” on a white or coloured background.
If a user visits a web page of this website that contains a button of this type, their browser establishes a direct connection to the Google servers. The contents of the “+1” button are transmitted from Google directly to their browser which embeds the latter into the website. The operator therefore has no influence on the amount of data that Google collects via the button. According to Google, no personal details are collected without clicking on the button. Such personal details, including the IP address, are only collected and processed on logged-in members.
Users can find out more about the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Google and the respective rights and configuration to protect the privacy of users by referring to Google’s privacy policies regarding the “+1” button: http://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html and the FAQ: http://bit.ly/r3Qme.
This website uses the buttons of the Twitter service. These buttons are provided by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. They are recognisable by terminology such as “Twitter” or “Follow”, coupled with a stylized blue bird. By using the buttons it is possible to share a contribution or page of this website on Twitter or to follow the operator on Twitter.
If a user visits a web page on this website which contains such a button, their browser makes a direct connection to the Twitter servers. The content of the Twitter buttons is transmitted from Twitter directly to the user’s browser. The operator therefore has no influence on the amount of data that Twitter collects with the help of this plugin and therefore informs the user in accordance with what he knows. As far as the operator knows, only the IP address of the user is transmitted with the URL of each website with reference to the button, but is not used for purposes other than that of the appearance of the button.
Right of withdrawal, changes, corrections and updates
The user has the right to ask to receive without charge information about the personal details stored about him. In addition, the user has the right to correct inaccurate details, to block and delete his personal details to the extent that there is no legal regulation to maintain data preventing this.
